What's in my hospital bag?

Whats in my hospital bag

Following my post on What's in my baby's hospital bag i thought it was only right for the next one to be What's in MY hospital bag... It's not as cute and filled with a lot more of those 'less than glamorous' products but i hope it helps you decide what to bring if you too are packing your hospital bag.
I'm a lot more organized second time round and i do think its down to all the helpful blog posts and you tube videos. With my first pregnancy i packed the basics and i mean the basics,  I must say i have packed a few bits that some may think are vain or superficial (straightners/makeup) but im packing these with the intent that they will make me feel and look more human! I want to be able to look back at the pictures this time round and not cringe! So, each to their own.. why not do all you can to make yourself feel better, after-all you've just given birth and thats possibly the hardest thing to do!

Whats in my hospital bag 2
I've packed 3.. ok 4 nighties/nightshirts to be on the safe side - Maternity Pads - Mini Straighteners (i'm determined to not have an afro this time round) - Hair Brush/Tangle Teezer - Plastic Bags (again, for any dirty clothes) - Hospital Notes - Slippers - Going Home Clothes (Maternity leggings, vest top, shirt & Converse) - Only a hundred pairs of underwear(!) - Socks - Toiletries & Cosmetics (below) - Oh and on top of all of this i somehow need to squish a towel in there... hmmm wish me luck!

Presents... For me?

To, me

From, well... me

Ooh La Lift

What Benefit say:

Why we love it: Legendary under-eye brightening boost...this delicate pink balm is like an instant eyelift!

What else you need to know: Contains raspberry extracts and light-reflecting pigments to instantly perk up tired eyes. Can be applied on bare skin or over makeup.

What I say:

Why i love it: This has become a staple piece in my morning routine and I'm not one to hype a product that doesn't work so take my word for it, it really does!
It makes my eyes looks instantly brighter!

What else you need to know: I was advised by the make up artist at the Benefit counter to mix a little with my Erase Paste and that's what I've been doing ever since i bought it, works a treat.

Erase Paste

What Benefit say:

Why we love it: This concentrated, creamy concealer brightens and camouflages in one easy step! Targets dark circles, discoloration and imperfections.

What else you need to know: Three shades with brightening melon undertones to suit every complexion. Comes complete with a fully illustrated, step-by-step lesson and mini-spatula for easy application.

What I say:

Why I love it: The tiniest amount goes a long way, banishes (OK hides!) dark circles and any other blemishes you don't want to be seen in a quick swipe and dab dab pat. Ta'da!

What else you need to know: As i said before, works great with Ooh La Lift also helps to warm it up a little beforehand, makes applying a whole lot easier.

Porefessional

What Benefit say:

Why we love it: Quickly minimize the appearance of pores! Apply this silky, lightweight balm for translucent pore coverage and smoother-than-smooth skin. Pores... now you see 'em, now you don't!
What else you need to know: Lesson included! - Oil-free for a silky smooth finish.

What I say:

Why i love it: As well as doing a great job of giving my skin that smooth as a baby's bottom texture it also smells amaaaaazzzzing!!! when i first tried this i spent the whole afternoon wondering what smelt so damn good, Oh... its just my face! :p

What else you need to know: This works great over make up too, gives a mattifying effect which is great for oily skin (a more than likely common issue if you've open pores).

Not forgetting... a FREEEEEBIE!!! Highbeam

I decided to get high beam as I've already got the full size posietint and a mini benetint.

I got a mini high beam in the Celebutante palette and loved it hence the tough choice.

(I'm kicking myself for not getting all 3 tbh!)

What Benefit products are you loving atm???
